The 62 square meter office space was transformed into a multi-functional area that includes an office, a meeting room, and a material showroom. The designers employed a subtle design approach, utilizing simple lines and a pure white color scheme to create a sense of tranquility and spaciousness.
To preserve the bright lighting characteristics of the space, white wooden louvers were strategically placed to adjust and shade the light, ensuring that the interior maintains a bright and inviting atmosphere. The use of two-color flooring helps define different areas within the office while also enhancing the visual sense of the pattern.
One of the unique features of this design is the incorporation of natural mineral coatings and system cabinets, which regulate humidity and provide moisture resistance. This is especially important in the rainy and humid climate of Danshui city. The entrance of the office is made of large floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing for ample natural light to flood the space and creating a transparent and open atmosphere.
The interior layout of the office follows a roundabout design, allowing for a smooth circulation of light, air, and people. This design choice not only adds a sense of comfort to the space but also enhances the visual focus and extends the overall vision. The use of metallic ring chandeliers in the conference room provides balanced lighting, dispersing light evenly and creating a comfortable environment for meetings and discussions.
Despite the limited space, the material showroom is thoughtfully presented using a track type plate rack, allowing clients to easily browse and choose materials. The studio also features a design of outlet panels in the drawers, providing convenience and functionality.
The Purity office design by Shih Han Tseng is a testament to the power of simplicity and minimalism in creating a serene and productive workspace. By incorporating elements of nature, utilizing a pure white color scheme, and employing a roundabout design, the office exudes a sense of purity and tranquility. This design has been recognized for its excellence, receiving the Iron A' Design Award in 2022 for its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach to office space.
